The ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre, Lamphelpat, has been conferred
the prestigious 1st Best Stall Award – 2026 at the State Krishi Mela. The two-day event, held from
6–7 June 2026 at the City Convention Centre, Imphal, was organized by the State Agricultural
Management & Extension Training Institute (SAMETI) and the Department of Agriculture,
Government of Manipur
The ICAR Centre actively participated in the Mela, showcasing cutting-edge agricultural
advancements tailored for the region. Key exhibits included high-yielding improved crop
varieties, diAerent mushroom species, climate-resilient farming technologies, modern farm
machinery, innovative integrated farming system (IFS) models, natural farming inputs and
farmer-oriented extension achievements. The stall served as a vital hub for information,
attracting thousands of local farmers, students, extension personnel, and agricultural
stakeholders.
The "1st Best Stall Award" was presented by the organizers in recognition of the exhibition's
exceptional quality, technical relevance, and impactful presentation. This milestone reflects the
combined dedication of the Centre's scientists, technical staA, administrative teams, and the
collaborative Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) working to advance sustainable agriculture in the
North Eastern Hill Region.
